Live '98 and '99
9 October, Saturday.
O'Cayz Corrall, Madison WI
WE DON'T
HAVE A SCHTICK. But the confrontational front man thing has become such
a cliche lately.
»
25 June, Saturday.
O'Cayz Corrall, Madison WI
We
were all really nervous, including Jerry, who never gets nervous.
»
6 May, Thursday.
O'Cayz Corrall, Madison WI
It was possibly the worst turnout we've ever had at a show in Madison.
It was also one of the best we've ever played. »
20 March, Saturday.
South Side VFW, Sheboygan WI
I think I hyperventilated during our last song. »
12 February, Friday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
I guess we can add the word catharsis to our press kit. »
31 December, Thursday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
New Year's Eve once again. For god's sake, make your resolution something
you have a hope in hell of keeping. »
30 December, Wednesday.
The Factory, DePere WI
There is no other venue that can so completely erase the knowledge of
my own songs from my gray matter. »
17 December, Thursday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
For some reason I got all goofy before this show and whipped up a commemorative
lyric sheet so the audience could follow along or something. »
19 November, Thursday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
I got to jump around more unencumbered by the vocalist/front-man thing.
»
29 October-1 November.
The Midwest Once Again
The trip started off inauspiciously. Before we even started to load van,
crushing back pain had brought me to my knees. This had only happened
to me once before and I wasn't looking forward to going through it again,
especially in light of a four-day weekend of rawk. »
7 October, Wednesday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
I guess there's something to be said for jumping around like a spazz and
beating the crap out of your guitar. »
19 September, Saturday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
We played quite an excellent set for a change. It's amazing what a little
rehearsal can do. »
18 September, Friday.
Agape Java Hut, Normal IL
I don't know if it was the blood-red walls or what, but the basement coffehouse
began to bring me down again. »
11 September, Friday.
The Cornerstone, Eau Claire WI
The conventional wisdom about "paying your dues" is starting to wear rather
thin. »
21 August, Friday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
Despite heartless employers and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, the show
must go on. »
19 August, Wednesday.
The Factory, DePere WI
Of course, the huge crowd of three kids and the other band playing cards
on the floor didn't help matters any. »
18 July, Saturday.
Urban Outfitters, Madison WI
Some of the yuppies wandering among the $26 baseball caps even stuck their
fingers in their ears. »
20 June, Saturday.
Hard Times Cafe, Rockford IL
Back in Rockford again. This time at a sports bar. How do we get ourselves
into these things? »
19 June, Friday.
That One Place, Rockford IL
The swarm of kids ostensibly attending the show seemed to feel that it
was way cooler to mill around on the street outside than to actually pay
attention to the crappy bands they had paid to "see." »
12 June, Friday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
The bands were good, the crowd wasn't. The turnout was dismal and the
folks that were there really didn't seem very enthralled. »
30 May, Saturday.
The Empty Bottle, Chicago IL
OK, now we're getting somewhere. This was our fifth show in Chicago, but
our first good one. »
21-25 May.
Taking the Midwest by Storm
Open-reel video tape recorders, Rush belt buckles, and $39 drum machines,
aww yeaaah. »
25 April, Saturday.
Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL
By the time we pulled into the IIT quad, it had been raining for sometime.
»
19 April, Sunday.
Mickey's Tavern, Madison WI
Not the weirdest show we've ever played, but kinda strange. I got the
impression that a lot of people were looking at the band in front of the
dart board and wondering just what was possessing us. »
9 April, Thursday.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison WI
This was the most fun I've had playing a show in a long time. First of
all, we played really well. »
4 April, Saturday.
The Mission, Steven's Point WI
As we picked up our instruments, it looked as though no one was there
and those that were, weren't particularly interested in paying attention.
I politely asked everyone to come up to the front and it worked. »
27 March, Friday.
Agape Java Hut, Normal IL
This was an odd show. I'm not quite sure why though. I mean, compared
to the weekend before, it was a dream... »
20 March, Friday.
Tiamat Record Store, Peoria IL
From the top down, this has to have been the worst show we've played in
the last couple of years. »
6-7 March Record Release Weekend
To make a big deal out of our new 7-inch, we decided to do two showsone
for the drunks, one for the kids. »
20 February, Friday.
Factory Coffeehouse, DePere WI
We played last, although there was some debate as to whether that meant
we were actually "headlining." »
13 February, Friday.
Sankofa Theater, Evansville IN
Nine hundred miles is a REALLY long way to drive for a one-off. »
New Year's Eve.
O'Cayz Corral, Madison
Our start time, at 10:30 p.m., meant that the place was rather empty and
the folks there had only one thing on their mindsboozin'. »
